Junior Logistics Coordinator

Our client, involved in the clearing and forwarding sector, is currently seeking a dynamic and hands-on Junior Logistics Coordinator (Imports/ Exports) to join their team based at their offices based in Point Waterfront, Durban.

 This opportunity would suit a candidate with strong exposure within the clearing and forwarding industry who is comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment across imports and exports. The ideal candidate should be able to work within a team but also work independently to get the task completed.

Job requirements

•  Candidate with clearing and forwarding experience
• Exposure to imports and exports across sea freight, airfreight, road freight, containers, bulk cargo.
• Airfreight and vessel clearance experience essential
• Customs clearing and customs stop query experience required
• Familiar with shipping line, airline, and local port operational requirements and procedures
• Experience with cargo coordination, framing port documentation, and operational follow-up
• Ability to liaise with customers, transporters, shipping lines, airlines, and port authorities
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
