We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Payroll Clerk to support our payroll department. The successful candidate will assist in processing employee payroll, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining payroll records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and processing of employee payrolls
Collect and verify timesheets, attendance records, and leave requests
Input payroll data accurately into the payroll system
Ensure compliance with payroll policies, laws, and regulations
Maintain and update payroll records and files
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
Support month-end and year-end payroll reporting
Collaborate with HR and finance departments as needed
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and errors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance, accounting, or related fields is a plus
Basic understanding of payroll processes and relevant laws
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in payroll or administrative roles
Familiarity with payroll software or ERP systems
