Employment Information

We are seeking a highly commercial, results-driven Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic export accounts within the FMCG sector. This role combines key account management, procurement, supplier negotiations, pricing, and operational coordination to ensure exceptional service delivery to international clients.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for major export customers while overseeing the sourcing, costing, procurement, and fulfillment of products. In addition, the role requires leveraging AI tools and technology to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management

Manage and develop relationships with key export customers.
Act as the primary contact for client inquiries, requests, and issue resolution.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive and proactive service.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and expand existing account portfolios.

Procurement & Sourcing

Source FMCG products and related equipment according to customer requirements.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve competitiveness.

Supplier Negotiation & Commercial Management

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements with suppliers.
Maximize profitability through effective purchasing and margin management.
Monitor market trends and supplier pricing to ensure competitive customer offerings.

Costing & Quotation Management

Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations using Excel-based costing models.
Calculate landed costs, margins, and pricing structures for export transactions.
Ensure all quotations align with company profitability objectives.

Logistics & Operations Coordination

Liaise with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
Coordinate dispatch schedules and export shipment requirements.
Monitor order progress and resolve operational challenges proactively.
Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.

Process Improvement & AI Integration

Utilize AI tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Develop and implement systems that automate repetitive administrative processes.
Identify opportunities for digital transformation within sales, procurement, and operations functions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
