Job Description:
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on concrete, composites, and steel components
- Prepare, cast, cure, and manage test specimens with exceptional accuracy
- Support prototype assembly and structural load testing alongside engineering teams
- Record, analyse, and report test results with precision and integrity
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance
- Manage laboratory materials and consumables while maintaining a safe, organised work environment
Skills & Experience: - Minimum 3 - 5 years' hands-on experience in a construction materials or engineering testing laboratory
- Strong knowledge of SANS, ASTM, or ISO testing standards
- Experience operating materials testing equipment and interpreting test data
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
- Experience with fibre-reinforced concrete, composites, or hydraulic testing equipment will be an advantage
Qualification:- National Diploma, BTech, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Materials Science
