Job Description

  • Conduct legal due diligence on land and property acquisitions.
  • Draft. review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, Deeds of Assignment, Sale agreernents, Lease Agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Verify land titles, ownership. and property documentation
  • Liaise with government agencies, land registries, survey offices. and regulatory authorities for title perfection and statutory approvals.
  • Provide legal advice on property transactions, corporate matters, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all company operations comply with relevant real estate and corporate laws.
  • Manage legal documentation and maintain accurate legal records.
  • Handle customer legal documentation and resolve documentation-related issues.
  • Coordinate litigation matters and work with external solicitors where necessary.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend practical solutions to management
  • Support the HR and other departments on legal and compliance matters when required.

Requirements

  • LL.B degree from a recognised university and must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-call practice experience and 3 years' experience in real estate,
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Land use Act. property law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving. and legal research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
