Librarian

Job Summary

• We are urgently seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Librarian.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, classify, and maintain library materials, records, and information resources.
• Manage cataloguing, indexing, and shelving of books and other library resources.
• Assist users in locating and accessing library materials and research information.
• Maintain both physical and digital library systems for efficient information retrieval.
• Monitor library inventory and ensure proper preservation of materials.
• Support research, reference, and information services for library users.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of library resources.
• Recommend new books, journals, and digital resources to improve library collections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and user-friendly library environment.
• Ensure compliance with library policies, standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or HND in Library and Information Science, or
• B.Tech. or HND in Library and Information Technology.

Experience:

• Minimum of five 5 years cognate experience in library management or information services.
