With the expansion of its operations to Solwezi, Dorset is committed to building a dynamic team of skilled loan officers who will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s lending activities. Key Responsibilities for Loan Officer Jobs in Solwezi Identify, attract, and onboard new clients through field visits, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
Conduct thorough assessments of loan applications, including site visits and affordability evaluations. Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports for management approval.
Inspect collateral and ensure completion of all necessary security documentation. Monitor loan repayments and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to minimize risk.
Provide regular reports on lending activities and branch performance to the Branch Manager. Qualifications and Experience Required A Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of two years’ experience in lending, credit assessment, microfinance, or banking sectors. Strong knowledge of secured lending principles and credit evaluation techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with the Solwezi and North-Western Province market is highly advantageous.
