A reputable manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and analytical Logistics Officer to coordinate dispatch, inventory movement, and fleet logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods dispatches to clients.
- Manage fleet routing, truck loading schedules, driver assignments, and fuel consumption monitoring.
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Liaise with the production and sales departments to guarantee prompt customer deliveries.
- Ensure all transport and logistics operations adhere to safety standards and road transport regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics and Transport, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supply (CILT / CIPS), or related discipline.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant logistics and transport work experience in a busy commercial or manufacturing setting.
- Past experience in the corrugated carton industry will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and fleet management abilities.
