Kitwe Maintenance Controller – Packaging

Are you a results-driven maintenance professional with a passion for improving equipment reliability and manufacturing performance?

We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Controller to join our Packaging team and play a critical role in ensuring maximum equipment availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Coordinating, coaching and supervising maintenance teams within the production environment.
• Planning and executing preventive and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensuring the availability of required tools, equipment and spare parts.
• Monitoring and improving plant reliability and packaging machine efficiency.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing excellence programmes.
• Facilitating problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping.
• Developing and coaching artisans, technicians and operators to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Managing engineering administration and ensuring compliance with maintenance systems and processes.
• Driving implementation of Manufacturing Way/GEM principles and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

• BSc Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of packaging production processes and technologies.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems such as COSWIN.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to drive a high-performance maintenance culture.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Way strategies and continuous improvement methodologies.
