Job Purpose:
The Maintenance & Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance of company facilities, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and fully operational. This role also oversees fleet administration, controls costs, and ensures vehicles are used responsibly and maintained properly.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Proven experience in maintenance management and facility operations
- Fleet or vehicle administration experience (advantageous)
- Supervisory or management experience (preferred)
- Computer literacy (email, Excel, maintenance/fleet systems)
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and servicing
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Road Traffic legislation Skills & Abilities
- Strong planning and scheduling skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- High attention to detail with a compliance focus
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Physical ability to conduct site inspections and occasional manual tasks Core Competencies
