Job Summary: The Management Accountant/Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in driving the financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for preparing high-level financial reports, analyzing performance metrics, and providing strategic support to management. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and leveraging data to support key business decisions.
Expanded Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and comprehensive financial reports.
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of organizational budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Perform rigorous variance analysis, identifying the root causes of discrepancies between actual results and budget forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance to pinpoint trends, mitigate commercial risks, and identify growth opportunities.
- Execute detailed cost analysis to drive cost-saving initiatives and improve organizational profitability.
- Develop robust financial models to support business cases, capital expenditure, and investment decisions.
- Ensure absolute integrity of financial data and strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory reporting standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial audits and collaborate with external auditors.
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage working capital efficiently.
- Partner with various departmental heads to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CFA) is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in a management accounting or senior finance role.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
