Manager: Dtr Operations

Job Function:

The DTR Retail Operations Manager is responsible for managing Direct-to-Retail (DTR) operations across assigned markets in Ghana. The role ensures efficient van sales execution, optimal route-to-market (RTM) strategies, retail coverage expansion, and achievement of sales and collection targets. The incumbent drives operational excellence, team productivity, and distribution efficiency while ensuring availability of products across all retail touchpoints.

Key performance areas:

• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance in line with targets.
• Improve numeric and weighted distribution across retail outlets.
• Monitor van-wise productivity and ensure route efficiency.
• Execute new product launches and track in-market performance.
• Ensure availability of all SKUs across retail outlets and territories.
• Optimize DTR routes to ensure full market coverage.
• Ensure effective beat planning and outlet mapping.
• Lead, coach, and supervise supervisors and Van Sales Representatives (VSRs).
• Monitor team discipline, attendance, and productivity.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Finance.
• Optimize resources including fleet and manpower.
• Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales target.
• Increase numeric and weighted distribution across Ghana market.

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

Skills and experience required:

• 8–10 years in FMCG sales/distribution operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial DTR or van sales role.
• DTR/van sales operations expertise.
• Inventory management.
• Sales analytics.
