Responsibilities:
Strategic Academic Leadership
and Institutional Support:
- Support the Center's overall academic leadership and strategic direction, ensuring alignment
with institutional goals and long‑term priorities.
- Lead academic planning and
contribute to the development of Center‑wide strategic plans, priorities,
and objectives.
- Oversee the implementation
of academic components of annual operational plans and budgets, ensuring
efficient use of academic resources.
- Develop and enforce
academic policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistency and
compliance across all programs.
- Provide strategic support
to the Center Director on accreditation, certification, and quality assurance
processes for new and existing academic and professional programs.
- Assume expanded leadership
responsibilities in periods when the Center Director is unavailable, ensuring
continuity of academic operations and decision-making.
Academic Program Management
and Student Success:
- Oversee curriculum
delivery, instructional quality, assessments, and academic performance across
all programs.
- Monitor student enrolment
trends, retention, progression, and graduation outcomes, recommending
interventions where necessary.
- Coordinate academic
timetables, faculty assignments, and resource allocation to ensure smooth
program delivery.
- Support student placement
initiatives, including internships, industry attachments, and career
development opportunities.
- Provide academic guidance
and mentorship to students, student groups, and academic clubs to enhance
learning outcomes and personal development.
Faculty Management and Professional Development:
- Participate in the
recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of academic staff.
- Provide leadership,
supervision, and performance management for faculty and instructional staff.
- Identify professional
development needs and facilitate training, workshops, and continuous learning
opportunities for academic staff.
- Promote a culture of
academic excellence, innovation, and accountability among faculty members.
Operations, Academic Administration, and Reporting:
- Oversee academic
scheduling, classroom management, and the effective utilization of academic
facilities and learning resources.
- Ensure the maintenance of a
conducive teaching and learning environment, including labs, classrooms, and
digital learning platforms.
- Produce regular academic
reports, performance analyses, and data‑driven insights to support
institutional decision-making.
- Investigate academic
issues, student concerns, and operational challenges, recommending and
implementing corrective actions.
- Support the development and
review of academic policies, handbooks, and operational guidelines.
Marketing, Awareness Creation, and Program Promotion:
- Actively promote the
Center’s academic programs through outreach, presentations, school visits,
community engagements, and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the
marketing team to develop content, campaigns, and promotional materials that
highlight program strengths and student success stories.
- Engage with prospective
students, parents, and community groups to increase enrolment and awareness of
the Center’s offerings.
- Represent the Center at
recruitment fairs, exhibitions, and public events to enhance visibility and
attract new learners.
- Work with industry partners
and alumni to showcase program relevance, employability outcomes, and career
pathways.
External Relations, Partnerships, and Community
Engagement:
- Build and maintain academic
partnerships with industry, community organisations, and higher education
institutions.
- Engage with business and
government stakeholders to identify workforce needs and align academic programs
with market demands.
- Represent the Center at
academic meetings, conferences, workshops, and collaborative engagements.
- Participate in community
events, research groups, and institutional initiatives to strengthen the
Center’s reputation and impact.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about
emerging trends in education, pedagogy, and workforce development.
- Lead or participate in
academic committees, research hubs, and institutional improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation
of Center‑wide and system‑wide academic policies and
innovations.
- Drive continuous
improvement in teaching quality, curriculum relevance, and student learning
outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of a BSc
- 4 years of previous experience in a similar role
