Manager : Used Vehicles - VW Edenvale

About the Role
As the Manager of Used Vehicles at VW Edenvale, you will oversee the operations and sales strategies for our used vehicle department. This role focuses on ensuring optimal inventory management, improving sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experience while managing a team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the sales and profitability of the used vehicle inventory.
- Monitor market trends to ensure competitive pricing and positioning of our used vehicles.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales consultants to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all vehicle sales processes.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and promote vehicle offerings effectively.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee vehicle appraisals to guarantee quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and finance, to create promotional campaigns and financing solutions.
- Analyze sales data and generate reports to track performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.

Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive sales management, specifically with pre-owned vehicles.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer relationship management.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving sales results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and staff.
- Good negotiation skills and experience with financial products related to vehicle sales.
- Proficient with inventory management systems and sales reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in the Volkswagen brand or knowledge of the automotive industry in South Africa.
- Certification in vehicle appraisal or related automotive qualifications.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies aimed at vehicle sales.
