Employment Information

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the following key areas:

  • Operational planning and coordination
  • Production management oversight
  • Health & Safety, quality, and compliance
  • Resource and workforce management
  • Financial and cost control
  • Reporting and administration

Operational Planning and Coordination

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all daily operations within the company.
  • Ensure projects are scheduled, resourced, and executed according to timelines and client requirements.
  • Monitor workflow efficiency and adjust plans where needed to meet deadlines.
  • Allocate teams and equipment effectively across multiple projects.

2Production Management Oversight

  • Support Floor / Technical Managers in planning, execution, and close-out of electrical projects.
  • Monitor budgets, work progress, and project deliverables to ensure compliance with contract scope of work.
  • Ensure all installations meet engineering specifications, SANS standards, and client expectations.
  • Review and approve production reports, drawings, and handover documentation.

Health, Safety, Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure company compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO / Quality Management Systems (where applicable).
  • Manage toolbox talks, incident reporting, and corrective action plans.

Resource and Workforce Management

  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment input and performance evaluations.
  • Foster teamwork, professional conduct, and continuous improvement.

Financial and Cost Control

  • Monitor production costs and operational expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Assist with budget planning, cash-flow monitoring, and production costing.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Reporting and Administration

  • Prepare operational reports for management, including project status and workforce updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and file control.
  • Implement and manage CRM, ERP, and job costing systems while ensuring production tracking data is accurately maintained and regularly updated.
  • Support internal audits and provide relevant data when required.
  • Forward rate of invoicing predictions

Strategic Improvement and Business Growth

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to company strategy, pricing models, and service offering development.
  • Champion innovation, new technologies, and improved engineering methods.
  • Drive systems automation improvements to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve data accuracy across business processes
