Job Description
- We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Medical Doctor to join our clinical team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment, and upholding the hospital’s core values of responsiveness, teamwork, efficiency, innovation, ethical practice, and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, examinations, and diagnosis of patients.
- Prescribe appropriate treatments, medications, and management plans.
- Admit, manage, and discharge patients appropriately.
- Perform minor medical and surgical procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical meetings.
- Educate patients and families on preventive health measures and treatment plans.
- Adhere strictly to hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development and hospital training programs.
Education & Professional Requirements
- MBBS/MBChB degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council.
- Valid practicing license.
- Completion of Housemanship.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Experience:
- 3 -10 years post-NYSC clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting is an added advantage.
- Experience in emergency care, obstetrics, pediatrics, or general practice is desirable.
