JOB PURPOSE To assure the functionality and longevity of fishing nets in a manner that is both effective and
efficient, thereby contributing to the success of catches and long-term viability of the fishing
operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include but not limited to:- Crafting new fishing nets in an efficient and timely manner.
- To restore and maintain nets with efficiency and promptness.
- Efficient inventory management and replenishment.
- Interim administrative support.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
- Grade 10 or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience in netmaking
- 3 years seafarer experience
- Safety focus
- Knot tying
- Handling tools
- Net Construction knowledge
- Inspection Skills
