Employment Information

  • Manage all aspects of non-commodity procurement, from sourcing to delivery. These include:
  • Strategic Sourcing: Developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and identifying alternative sources to achieve productivity gains and cost savings
  • Supplier Management: Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and capability
  • Directly handling big global cooperatives and suppliers
  • Operational oversight: Overseeing contract implementation, resolving operational issues and managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Pricing ideas – Adopt to market practices and ensure cost-effective buying.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all procurement policies and regulations are followed.
  • Able to plan and manage the required logistics and other supportive functions.

Key Deliverables

  • Cost: Manage the direct cost of operations within the allotted budget
  • Quality: Ensure optimum quality of engineering spares is procured
  • Sustainability: Anchor and lead the sustainability initiatives
  • You will be responsible for the optimal utilization of resources
  • Support implementation of required infrastructure as per the business plan and derive maximum capacity efficiencies by eliminating controllable losses
  • Be responsible for all Engineering Spares & Services

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders involving formal business reviews and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability to leverage modern procurement tools and ERP systems to automate sourcing, vendor management and procurement analytics for improved efficiency and transparency
  • Establish structured supplier performance reviews KPIs, SLAs to drive continuous improvement, strengthen long-tern partnerships and ensure alignment with organizational quality and cost objectives
  • Risk Mitigation planning- Ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency sourcing strategies.
  • Be able to drive value in cost benchmarking through structured negotiations, should-cost analysis and continuous monitoring of cost drivers to ensure optimal procurement decisions

Requirements

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a highly analytical field. An MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain/Finance is highly advantageous for managerial levels.
  • Certifications: Strong preference for professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or CPSM Certified Professional in Supply Management.
  • Years of Experience: 5–7 years of proven end-to-end procurement experience, ideally within a mass manufacturing, FMCG, or fast-paced multinational corporate environment.
  • Technical Spend Competency: Demonstrated experience handling large-value asset purchases Capex, complex service agreements, general consumables, and logistics/freight sourcing.
  • Systems & Tools: High proficiency in enterprise resource planning ERP platforms—specifically SAP MM Materials Management and SAP Ariba or similar cloud-based e-sourcing tools. Intermediate to advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and pivot table spend analysis.
  • Trade & Import Familiarity: Solid working knowledge of end-to-end import/export EXIM certification, custom clearings, and local documentation processes for non-commodity items.
