Position Summary
- Responsible for coordinating and executing daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient cargo movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end shipment processes
- Handle sea, road, and cross-border operations
- Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, and clients
- Oversee customs clearance procedures
- Coordinate warehousing activities
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation
- Track shipments and update clients
- Resolve operational issues
Key Competencies
- Strong supply chain understanding
- Freight forwarding expertise
- Customs and warehousing knowledge
- Problem-solving and organization
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics/freight forwarding across Eastern Africa
- Knowledge of customs processes – Local and Transit
- Knowledge of road and transit corridors across East Africa
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- Basic computer skills
