Operations Executive to Senior Executive

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end fuel operations, ensuring smooth loading and offloading of tankers at depots and customer sites.
• Ensure all loading/offloading activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in compliance with company SOPs and industry regulations.
• Communicate directly with drivers to plan and track delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient fuel deliveries to customers.
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and maintain strong service relationships.
• Implement and monitor controls to minimize product losses during loading, transportation, offloading, and storage (e.g., temperature variance, spillage, pilferage, meter discrepancies).
• Supervise drivers, loading/offloading staff, and bowser operators, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports covering deliveries, losses, bowser utilization, and equipment status.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fuel/petroleum operations, with a solid understanding of tanker loading/offloading processes.
• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience managing bowsers and coordinating fuel delivery logistics.
• Practical knowledge of meters, pumps, and pipeline systems used in fuel dispensing and storage.
• Proven track record in minimizing product losses and improving operational efficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deliveries/schedules simultaneously, and respond quickly to operational issues.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Tally) for tracking operations.
• Prior experience in the petroleum/oil & gas industry in Zambia or the wider region.
• Familiarity with local fuel regulations and safety standards in Zambia.
