Main Focus Area

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & CLIENT ENGAGEMENT

 Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly client portfolio performance reports, including return attribution, benchmark comparisons, and commentary on portfolio drivers.
 Monitor portfolio performance on an ongoing basis, identifying variances against benchmarks, mandate guidelines, and client objectives, and recommending corrective actions where required.
 Provide timely and professional feedback to clients on portfolio performance, market developments, and the status of Alternative Investment projects and initiatives.
 Support client relationship management activities, including attending client meetings, responding to investment queries, and assisting in presentations and portfolio reviews.
 Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and back-office teams to ensure accurate valuation, reporting, and smooth operational execution of investment activities.

ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT ORIGINATION & EXECUTION

 Identify, originate, and evaluate Alternative Investment opportunities, including private equity, infrastructure, real assets, and structured investments aligned with the organisation’s investment strategy.
 Conduct detailed investment appraisals for Alternative Investments, including financial modelling, due diligence, risk analysis, and preparation of investment memoranda for Investment Committee consideration.
 Project manage approved Alternative Investment transactions, coordinating internal teams, advisors, and external counterparties to ensure timely and efficient execution.
 Monitor the performance and risk profile of Alternative Investments and recommend portfolio actions where appropriate.

INVESTMENT GOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCE

 Attend and actively contribute to Investment Committee meetings, particularly on matters relating to portfolio performance, asset allocation, and Alternative Investment proposals.
 Ensure compliance with internal investment policies, client mandates, regulatory requirements, and approved risk management frameworks.
 Maintain high standards of investment governance, reporting accuracy, and operational integrity across all managed portfolios.
 Support internal and external audit processes by providing required portfolio and investment information.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related field.
A professional qualification such as CFA, CIS, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Must have skills

 Sound understanding of portfolio management principles and Alternative Investments.
 Strong project management and organisational skills.
 Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

Good to have skills

 High levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
 Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
 Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
