Main Focus Area
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & CLIENT ENGAGEMENT
Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly client portfolio performance reports, including return attribution, benchmark comparisons, and commentary on portfolio drivers.
Monitor portfolio performance on an ongoing basis, identifying variances against benchmarks, mandate guidelines, and client objectives, and recommending corrective actions where required.
Provide timely and professional feedback to clients on portfolio performance, market developments, and the status of Alternative Investment projects and initiatives.
Support client relationship management activities, including attending client meetings, responding to investment queries, and assisting in presentations and portfolio reviews.
Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and back-office teams to ensure accurate valuation, reporting, and smooth operational execution of investment activities.
ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT ORIGINATION & EXECUTION
Identify, originate, and evaluate Alternative Investment opportunities, including private equity, infrastructure, real assets, and structured investments aligned with the organisation’s investment strategy.
Conduct detailed investment appraisals for Alternative Investments, including financial modelling, due diligence, risk analysis, and preparation of investment memoranda for Investment Committee consideration.
Project manage approved Alternative Investment transactions, coordinating internal teams, advisors, and external counterparties to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Monitor the performance and risk profile of Alternative Investments and recommend portfolio actions where appropriate.
INVESTMENT GOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCE
Attend and actively contribute to Investment Committee meetings, particularly on matters relating to portfolio performance, asset allocation, and Alternative Investment proposals.
Ensure compliance with internal investment policies, client mandates, regulatory requirements, and approved risk management frameworks.
Maintain high standards of investment governance, reporting accuracy, and operational integrity across all managed portfolios.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing required portfolio and investment information.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related field.
A professional qualification such as CFA, CIS, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
