Job Summary

  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of goods and services required for restaurant operations.
  • The role ensures that all purchases are made in line with company standards, budget requirements, and operational needs while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Process purchase requests and ensure timely fulfillment of departmental requirements.
  • Receive supplier orders and related documentation and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply issues.
  • Verify supplier invoices against delivered orders and ensure accuracy before submission for payment processing.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, purchase orders, invoices, and filing systems.
  • Prepare procurement reports and provide updates on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
  • Follow up on pending orders and ensure all procurement activities are completed within the required timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree
  • 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
