Project / Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing project sites as the main technical adviser and ensuring that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with plans and specifications 
• Computing material costs and making cost effective solutions and proposals for intended projects; 
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in any construction project; 
• Reviewing plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations; 
• Day-to-day management of the project site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors 
•  Inspecting and surveying the project site.
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect 
• Liaising with clients and their representatives and providing them with regular progress reports 
• Obtaining all necessary permits for commencement of any construction project 
• Outlining the scope of work and respective timelines as well as efficiently organizing the project site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines 
• Ensuring quality control and health and safety matters on project sites 
• Resolving any technical issues and other problems that may arise on project sites 
• Preparing reports as may be required by company
