Key Responsibilities
Protection Monitoring & Data Collection:
- Conduct regular protection monitoring through community engagement, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and observation.
- Identify and document protection risks, trends, and emerging issues affecting women, children, and persons with disabilities.
- Collect and submit protection monitoring data using approved tools and digital platforms where applicable.
Community Engagement & Referrals:
- Engage community members, leaders, and protection committees to identify risks and promote protective practices.
- Support safe identification and referral of individuals at risk to appropriate protection services.
- Disseminate information on available services, feedback mechanisms, and referral pathways.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare timely protection monitoring reports, alerts, and updates for the Protection Officer and Project Manager.
- Support early-warning and response mechanisms at community level.
- Participate in LGA-level protection coordination activities as required.
Safeguarding & Ethics:
- Ensure all monitoring activities adhere to protection principles, confidentiality, and “do no harm” standards.
- Promote accountability to affected populations AAP and safe feedback and complaint mechanisms.
