Employment Information

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Manage tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids and issuance of Purchase Orders.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work against contractual obligations.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Could be assigned to assist to do supervision on any JSix civil works project.
  • Monitor and give updates of quotations and BOQs when required by MD.
  • Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and variations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. Ghana Institute of Surveyors) is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in construction, mining, or civil works projects


Key Competencies And Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Outstanding organizational, Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
