Job description

Millennium Radio Limited, Zambia’s first ever talk and news radio station, invites applications from suitably qualified, innovative, self-motivated and committed Zambians for two (2) positions of Radio Technician.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of Grade 12 level of education.
• Diploma in journalism or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
• Requisite training in broadcasting and sound engineering.
• Traceable experience in similar roles in a radio station environment.
• Familiarity with radio broadcasting equipment and technology, including mixers, audio processors, microphones, recorders, and studio software.
• Hands-on experience with live sound reinforcement and recording techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical audio problems efficiently.
• Must be familiar with audio editing and sound mixing for radio production.
• Knowledge of music editing software and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Awareness of media legislation.
