Receptionist / Administrative Assistant | Bedfordview, Gauteng (Onsite)
A leading, internationally backed insurance underwriting manager is seeking a professional, mature, and well-presented Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join their team in Bedfordview. Serving as the primary face and voice of the branch, this on-site role is essential for delivering an exceptional first impression to corporate clients, visitors, and partners while providing critical workflow and administrative support to the technical claims and underwriting divisions.
Key Performance Areas:
Reception & Front Office Management: Answer, screen, and route incoming calls via the company switchboard. Welcome visitors, manage incoming and outgoing courier packages, and maintain a pristine, customer-focused reception environment.
Boardroom & Hospitality Management: Coordinate boardroom bookings, manage meeting schedules, and ensure facilities are prepared and highly presentable. Arrange refreshments for corporate guests and manage hospitality stock.
Cross-Departmental Administrative Support: Provide reliable administrative assistance specifically to the Claims and Underwriting teams. Help handle policy, claims, and underwriting documentation alongside ad hoc office tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
Experience: Proven experience working in a front-office, receptionist, or corporate administrative assistant role.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within the Insurance or Financial Services industry is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Sound computer literacy, particularly across the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Attributes: Excellent telephone etiquette, strong multitasking abilities, and a collaborative, dependable, and cheerful approach to daily pressure.
