Till Operators Bakery Assistants Deli Assistants Fruit & Vegetable Assistants Sales Floor Assistants Data Entry Clerks Stock Controllers Butchery Assistants Detailed Job Descriptions and Requirements Till Operator Responsibilities:

• Manage cash drawer accuracy at shift start and end.
• Scan items, verify prices, and process payments via cash, cheque, or card.
• Balance cash and secure funds appropriately.
• Provide courteous customer service and escalate issues as needed.
• Greet customers professionally to enhance satisfaction.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years cashier experience with POS systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Trustworthy with cash handling; minimum age 18 in Zambia.
• Physically and medically fit.

Bakery Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for baked goods.
• Maintain a clean, organised bakery workspace adhering to food hygiene standards.
• Package, label, and assist customers with bakery items.
• Operate cutting equipment safely and display products attractively.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and bakery production certification.
• 1–2 years bakery production experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically and medically fit, capable of working at heights.

Deli Assistant (Take Away) Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients and cook food following hygiene protocols.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and ensure proper food storage.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders when necessary.
• Ensure attractive presentation of dishes before serving.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Food Handlers' and Food Production Certifications.
• 1–2 years deli experience and basic food preparation knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and physical fitness.
• Medically fit and able to work at heights.

Fruit and Vegetable Assistant Responsibilities:

• Create attractive produce displays and ensure accurate pricing and labelling.
• Conduct daily stock counts and manage spoiled produce responsibly.
• Assist with deliveries and seasonal display preparations.
• Provide product storage and preparation information to customers.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain detailed logs.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Food Handlers' and Food Production Certifications.
• 1–2 years experience in fruit and vegetable production.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physically and medically fit, able to work at heights.

Sales Floor Assistant Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service and assist with product location.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor.
• Restock inventory, support promotions, and manage stock handling procedures.
• Follow FIFO and damage/expiry protocols diligently.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Food Handlers' and Food Production Certifications.
• 1–2 years merchandising experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically and medically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment and at heights.

Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter and update data in various systems.
• Validate data integrity and organise digital and physical files.
• Generate reports and maintain strict data privacy.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate and Computer Certificate or Diploma.
• Experience in data management with proficiency in Excel.
• Good communication skills and basic mathematics knowledge.
• Trustworthy, medically fit, and at least 18 years old in Zambia.

Stock Controller Responsibilities:

• Forecast stock needs and manage purchase orders.
• Track shipments, oversee storage, and coordinate inventory audits.
• Negotiate with suppliers and maintain budget compliance.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate with Computer Certificate or Diploma; Purchasing and Supply diploma is advantageous.
• 1–2 years stock management experience and proficiency in Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Honest, medically fit, and 18+ in Zambia.

Butchery Assistant Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, package meat products and maintain workspace hygiene.
• Serve customers, provide preparation advice, and operate cutting machinery.
• Ensure proper labelling and attractive display of meat products.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Butchery Production Certification.
• 1–2 years experience in butchery production.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills with ability to train staff.
• Physically and medically fit, able to work at heights and in fast-paced environments.
• Additional Application Requirements Candidates should be prepared to undergo a physical examination and provide a medical report along with police clearance as part of the recruitment process.
