SAFETY OFFICER & COORDINATOR


An Industrial and Manufacturing Company specializing in structural, steel fabrication, container conversions and remote camp seek a Safety Officer & Coordinator at their premises in Springs, Gauteng.


Educational and Experience requirements:



  • Relevant Safety Qualification (e.g. Samtrac, NEBOSH etc).
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication and organising skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to think and plan rationally under pressure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

 


Main Responsibilities (but not limited to these only)



  • Oversee and enforce all site health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Full Legal Compliance with OHSA, mine regulations and client specific standards.
  • Handle correspondence (email, calls and letters)
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating of workflows.
  • Support daily administrative operations
  • Maintain company database and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings and ongoing safety training.
  • Monitor and maintain PPE compliance and safe work practice across all teams.
