Safety Officer

What You'll Own

• Routine and unannounced site inspections — identifying hazards before incidents occur
• Development and enforcement of risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems
• Leading root-cause investigations for all accidents and near-misses
• Conducting daily/weekly Toolbox Talks and mandatory site safety inductions
• Enforcing PPE compliance across all site personnel — zero exceptions
• Full emergency preparedness — response plans, drills, and first aid readiness
• Ensuring compliance with Nigerian federal and local construction safety regulations
• Full authority to halt any unsafe work activity on site

 What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' HSE experience on active construction or real estate development sites
• NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma — mandatory
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card — required
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian construction safety regulations and international HSE frameworks
• NISP membership is an advantage
• HND or B.Sc. in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
