We are looking for a Tekla Design Software Sales Consultant who is passionate about transforming the efficiency of structural design consultancies through the latest analysis and design software technologies. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges with older traditional packages and guide them towards efficient, practical, future-focused solutions from Tekla.
This is a consultative sales role for someone who enjoys being a trusted advisor and driving real change in the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with structural engineering design consultancy clients to understand their workflows, challenges, and BIM maturity
- Promote and sell Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer, acting as a technically competent, commercial point of contact, to grow our share of the market
- Demonstrate how these two solutions can improve design efficiency, speed, collaboration and engineering drawing production processes
- Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and solution presentations tailored to client needs
- Build long-term relationships and position yourself as a trusted technology partner
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in the structural engineering design industry
- Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Minimum requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 3 years experience in a structural engineering design office
- A strong technical background with commercial ambition to succeed in a sales career
- Hands-on experience working with Tekla Tedds and/or Tekla Structural Designer software
- Strong understanding of digital workflows across the structural design process
- Confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and decision makers
- A genuine passion for using technology to move the industry forward
- Own reliable vehicle and willing and able to travel nationally, as well as internationally from time to time
Highly advantageous:
- Experience using Autodesk Revit
- Familiarity with Prokon analysis and design software
- Good understanding of structural BIM processes
- Existing relationships and contacts within the structural engineering community
- Previous sales experience
