Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities in mining, quarrying, and construction industries across Northern Nigeria.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and government agencies within the northern region.
  • Provide expert advice on the selection, application, and safe handling of explosives.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas by developing client-focused solutions.
  • Conduct on-site demonstrations and train customers on product usage and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all sales activities align with government regulations on explosives handling and distribution.
  • Regularly visit customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Identify tender opportunities, prepare competitive proposals, and participate in bidding processes.
  • Conduct site evaluations to recommend appropriate explosives and blasting techniques.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to refine sales strategies.
  • Ensure seamless product delivery and stock availability for customers.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, prepare reports.
  • Navigate security concerns, operational risks, and regulatory challenges in the region.
  • Represent the company in exhibitions, conferences, and trade fairs to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./HND in Engineering Mining and chemical
  • 5-10 years in technical sales, preferably in the explosives, mining sector.
  • Understanding of industrial explosives, blasting techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of the region’s mining, quarrying, and infrastructure development sectors.
  • Understanding of government laws and safety standards on explosives.
  • Ability to close deals, manage contracts, and develop long-term business relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the northern states for client visits and site inspections.
  • Ability to establish connections with key decision-makers in the industry.
  • valid drivers licence Required for field visits and regional travel.
  • Fluency in Hausa is a mustfor effective communication in the region.
