Role Purpose

  • The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving project sales and business development for a portfolio of construction chemical solutions. The role focuses on identifying project opportunities, engaging key industry stakeholders, providing technical support, and ensuring successful specification and adoption of products in construction projects.
  • The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen to achieve sales growth, expand market penetration, and build long-term client relationships within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new project opportunities across commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and government agencies
  • Drive product specification in project designs, tenders, and execution stages
  • Provide technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations
  • Conduct site visits and support clients during product application and implementation
  • Identify tenders and upcoming project opportunities in the market
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and forecasting reports
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales, project sales, or business development within the construction industry
  • Strong experience in construction chemicals, waterproofing systems, flooring systems, coatings, or related building materials
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts
  • Strong experience working with contractors, consultants, developers, and project stakeholders
  • Strong technical understanding combined with excellent communication and negotiation skills
