The main purpose of the job:
The main purpose of this role is to promote and sell the company's products and services to existing and potential clients in the food manufacturing industry.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science or Equivalent is essential
- Min experience needed is a 6-month internship in a food production environment
- Sales experience will be advantageous
- Driver’s License and own car is essential
- Communication and relationship-building ability
- Proficiency in Afrikaans
- Professionalism and reliability/ strong work ethic
- Willingness to Travel
Responsibilities: - Product Application trials - Trials on new products and development of products and new markets.
- Customer training - Customer service value-added technical advisory services.
- Testing & evaluation of products as required by clients (on-site).
- New product development for Butchers and large factories that may be required to generate new markets.
- General customer service value adds and advisory technical services and back up to clients in liaison with Senior Food Technologist.
- Technical advisory services to butchers (this includes consulting on product quality, production capacities and efficiencies, implementation of quality control/assurance systems) to increase production output and shelf of products.
- Researching potential new markets for potential new business, analysing and reporting on sales leads linked to the client.
