To deliver engaging and rigorous Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics) aligned with the British National Curriculum to secondary school students. The role aims to promote scientific literacy, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking, while fostering a passion for science in a diverse international classroom.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field) – face-to-face study

PGCE Certificate (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – for UK applicants

SACE Registration – for South African applicants
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level in a British curriculum school

Ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and preferably 5 (A-Level or equivalent)

Experience in preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level Science examinations (desirable)

Previous international or GCC experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons that engage and challenge students

Teach general science across lower secondary and a science specialism (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) at IGCSE/A-Level

Prepare schemes of work and long-term lesson plans in alignment with curriculum standards

Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Monitor, assess, and report on students' academic progress

Use practical work, lab experiments, and digital tools to enhance understanding

Maintain laboratory safety protocols and manage science lab resources

Participate in extra-curricular activities, science fairs, and enrichment programs

Engage in parent-teacher conferences and communicate student progress effectively

Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives

Attend departmental and whole-school meetings, training sessions, and events
