Job description:
Specific Job Responsibility
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
- Delegate daily jobs to the workforce.
- Ensure safety is maintained at all times in the work area.
- Keep accurate work and record keeping, including maintaining log books to ensure statutory compliance.
- Manage contractor trucks and ensure loads are well secured.
- Control material disposal and segregation.
- Ensure proper yard delineation.
- Perform any other duties delegated by the coordinator.
Job Specific Competencies
- Mechanical knowledge of scrap materials.
- High level fabrication skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift or TLB.
- Knowledge of lifting and rigging.
- Awareness of all safety rules and regulations

Experience required to perform in this job
- Minimum 3 years as a supervisor.
- Minimum 5 years as a boilermaker
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Craft Certificate or its equivalent.
- All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
