Secondary School Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teacher at Rays of Hope Academy, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and maintain all units of study.
• Be resourceful: implement and update the curriculum as students’ needs require, in line with the Academy’s brand, through well-planned lessons and engaging classroom interaction.
• Be present: take an active part in all routine school activities, including staff meetings, class programs, and field trips, and ensure students’ safety at all times.
• Respond proactively to students’ academic performance and wellbeing, working closely with parents, peers, and fellow teachers.
• Conduct fair and constructive assessments, and submit progress reports to the Principal.
• Design activities and teaching programs that support students’ mental and emotional development.
• Keep accurate and diligent records of student activities in line with the law and school policies.
• Nurture students’ academic, mental, and physical wellbeing, and guide them through the challenges they may face.
• Build a cordial, collaborative relationship with the whole campus team to help the school achieve its goals and objectives.
• Show responsible stewardship of students’ lives, including enforcing school rules and disciplinary measures where necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• At least 2 years of working experience.
• Willingness to sign the Child Safeguarding Policy.
• Emotionally stable, spiritually mature, honest, and transparent, with the ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
