JOB
PURPOSE:
To
coordinate security functions within the Company premises, and carry out
security investigative assignments whenever necessary.
Main
Duties and Responsibilities
a)
Develop
and implement efficient and effective security systems, plans and policies for
the company in close liaison with the Head of HR & Administration.
b)
Conduct security risk assessments for all
Company offices, residences, and depots
c)
Responsible
for the Company’s fire-fighting system/ team, and ensure that all fire fighting
equipment are kept in a working condition in close liaison with the Head of
Production.
d)
Plan
and effectively supervise the work of both Company and contracted security
firm.
e)
Liaise with the service providers and internal
departments to ensure appropriate use of the security systems and also
monitoring of the security systems maintenance as per the SLAs.
f)
Conduct training/briefing on safety and
security procedures to ensure personnel are familiar with and adhere to
security guidelines and precautions.
g)
Carry
out security investigations in cases of loss of Company property or lapse of
security as instructed from time to time.
h)
Maintain
security records and examine the gate registers to monitor traffic flow into
and out of the Company premises.
i)
Effectively
ensure safe custody of all Company assets within Company premises.
j)
Provide
the Company security guards on-the-job training.
k)
Prepare
and submit monthly security reports and any other report that may be required
from time to time.
l)
Liaise
with local stakeholders and community leaders in process of gathering and
verifying security information.
Knowledge
and Skills Required:
(i). Diploma in Security Management
(ii). KCSE
Certificate with at least minimum C- (Minus)
(iii). Served
for a minimum of three (3) years in
reputable security firm or disciplined force at the rank of sergeant or above
(iv). Kenya Police/Military/NYS training or other
similar institution.
(v). A
valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police

in computer applications.
