Job Description:
- Lead fire safety and compliance design for multidisciplinary building projects
- Deliver rational fire designs, including smoke evacuation, stair pressurisation, and sprinkler systems
- Manage medium to large projects independently or within a broader design team
- Represent projects in client, design, and site meetings
- Oversee tender documentation, project administration, and technical outputs
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Skills & Experience:- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in fire engineering within building services
- Strong expertise in SANS fire design standards and rational fire safety design
- In-depth experience in sprinkler systems, smoke control, and fire protection design
- Exposure to complex commercial, industrial, or mixed‑use building projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
- High level of technical reporting and communication ability
Qualification:- BEng / BTech Mechanical Engineering
- ECSA registration (PrEng/PrTechEng)
