Senior Finishing Foreman

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Finishing Foreman to join their team on high-end residential and commercial building projects in the Durbanville area of Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all finishing trades on site to ensure quality workmanship and programme deadlines are achieved
Manage subcontractors, labour teams, and daily site activities
Ensure all finishes are completed to specification and client standards
Coordinate snag lists, inspections, and handovers
Maintain health & safety compliance on site
Monitor materials, quality control, and productivity
Work closely with Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and project teams

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential and commercial construction projects
Strong knowledge of finishing trades including plastering, painting, tiling, ceilings, joinery, flooring, and final fit-offs
Ability to read drawings and manage programmes effectively
Strong leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
Valid driver’s licence
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience
Experience on luxury residential developments and commercial projects
Trade qualification or construction-related certification advantageous
