Key Responsibilities
Core Technical Skills & Knowledge
Labor Law Expertise: Deep understanding of local labor laws, employment acts, and statutory regulations (e.g., Ethiopian Labor Proclamation).
HR Functions: Proven experience across the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, and employee relations.
Compensation & Benefits: Familiarity with salary structuring, grading systems, and payroll administration.
HRIS Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and standard office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key Competencies & Soft Skills
Leadership & Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage workplace disputes, counsel employees, and guide junior HR staff or line managers.
Strategic Thinking: Capability to align HR practices with the overall business objectives of the company.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and local languages as required).
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze HR metrics (turnover rates, time-to-hire) and prepare detailed management reports.
Ethical Conduct: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive employee matters.
