This is a senior, data-driven role for someone who can sit between performance marketing and creative, turning numbers into direction the creative team can actually run with. You'll need a sharp eye for what's working across channels and the confidence to guide brand-led decisions without ever losing sight of quality or long-term brand equity.
Core Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
- Minimum 8 years senior marketing leadership experience, preferably within luxury travel
- Demonstrable track record using performance data to shape creative and content output
- Strong grasp of digital marketing metrics across paid, social, email, web and content channels
- Proven project management experience, taking campaigns from brief through to completion
- Experience managing and leading teams
- Strong strategic thinking and excellent leadership ability
- A genuine interest in wildlife, conservation and sustainable tourism
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Act as the link between the Digital and Creative teams, turning performance insights into clear creative direction
- Develop briefs and content actions based on what the data shows is working
- Safeguard brand voice and quality while pushing performance-led decisions
- Drive campaign projects from brief to delivery, keeping timelines, messaging and stakeholders aligned
- Compile post-campaign reports and share learnings across the team
- Represent Marketing in cross-functional meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across regions
- Track industry trends, competitor activity and emerging marketing technology
- Oversee the marketing budget, review spend, and approve invoices within budget guidelines
- Support the development of board-level reporting and stakeholder presentations
This is a live-out position. Candidate must be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
