Our client has an opportunity available for a Senior Net Developer Specialist based in Pretoria.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of a NQF level 7 Bachelor`s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Relevant Microsoft .Net or Development certifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience in systems analysis, software development or related technical experience.
  • Strong Agile Scrum software development experience to serve as the Scrum team lead in team-based development would be advantageous.
  • Experience in one or more development frameworks would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to cloud-based application development environments is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning, development and maintenance of customized business applications to support the business operations.
  • Identify system or application related issues that require more attention and work to resolve it.
  • Formulate system solutions or propose business process alternatives to mitigate risks and meet business requirements.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be developed, tested, debugged, and documented.
  • Provide technical expertise to the business analyst regarding system requirements and solutions.
  • Develop business applications to meet business requirements.
  • Perform unit testing and ensure full quality assurance is performed.
  • Release business applications effectively and efficiently.
  • Address post implementation review feedback.
  • Ensure business applications are developed in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, methodologies and standards.
  • Provide technical and functional support and guidance to stakeholders in the operation of application.
  • Provide support on integration features between software packages.
  • Establish, build and maintain collaborative working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues in the centre to ensure timeous delivery of work.
  • Manage service level agreements.
  • Support the implementation of the activities outlined in the BU People Plan, transformation or culture plans.
  • Manage supply chain processes within own functional area.
  • Contribute to the compilation of centre budgets and manage project expenditures related to functional area.
