QUALITY CATERING EQUIPMENT LIMITED — TECHNICAL TEAM VACANCIES
Position: Senior Refrigeration Technician | Skilled People Build Stronger Industries
Quality Catering Equipment Limited is seeking to strengthen its technical engineering team and invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Senior Refrigeration Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation, commissioning, maintenance, and overhaul of commercial refrigeration systems, walk-in cold rooms, chiller units, and freezer rooms.
- Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostatic expansion valves, and control panels.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance schedules across client sites to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on technical safety and trade best practices.
- Ensure all technical operations comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Trade Test Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a recognised technical training institution (such as NORTEC or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ post-qualification practical experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Sound, in-depth knowledge of commercial refrigeration, cold room and blast freezer unit installation, repair, piping, and maintenance.
- Proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot and diagnose technical faults, and supervise junior technicians.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
