JOB VACANCY: SHOPKEEPER
Employment Type: Full
Location: Meanwood Ndeke phase 1, Friendly Forces Centre, opposite tiny tots school.
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, honest, and customer-focused Shopkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day shop operations, assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and welcoming shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a polite and professional manner.
- Handle cash and electronic sales transactions accurately.
- Manage stock/inventory, including restocking shelves and reporting low items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop.
- Open and close the shop following established procedures.
- Keep basic records of daily sales and stock movements.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 School Certificate (or equivalent).
- Location: Must live within the immediate surroundings.
- Basic arithmetic and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is an added advantage (but not mandatory).
- 1-2 years relevant experience.
