Supervisor
As a Site
Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations for
residential solar projects. You will lead and coordinate a team to ensure
installations are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality
standards. Additionally, you will manage transportation, site logistics, stock
inventory, and daily reporting to the Project Leader.
Main
Accountabilities
Site
Management & Supervision
- Ensure all
installation works are executed according to project plans, technical
specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct
regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and optimize
workflow efficiency.
- Enforce
compliance with health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working
environment.
- Ensure
proper installation practices for solar PV systems, mounting structures,
cabling, and associated electrical works.
- Monitor
productivity and ensure project milestones are achieved within scheduled
timelines.
Transport
& Logistics
- Coordinate
the transportation of personnel, tools, materials, and equipment to project
sites.
- Ensure all
required tools and materials are available on-site prior to commencement of
works to avoid delays.
- Organize
daily site logistics and optimize resource allocation for operational
efficiency.
- Monitor
vehicle usage and ensure proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.
- Support
cost-effective logistics planning while maintaining project timelines.
Inventory
& Stock Management
- Collaborate
closely with the storekeeper to receive, track, and distribute materials,
tools, and equipment.
- Maintain
accurate records of site inventory, consumables, and equipment usage.
- Conduct
routine checks to ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately.
- Report
stock shortages, damaged items, or missing equipment promptly to avoid
disruption to project activities.
- Assist in
material planning and forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Project
Coordination & Reporting
- Submit
daily progress reports detailing completed work, manpower allocation, site
challenges, and overall site conditions to the Project Leader.
- Coordinate
with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure installations align with
project schedules and client expectations.
- Assist in
the preparation, verification, and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for
specific projects.
- Participate
in site meetings and provide technical and operational feedback where
necessary.
- Recommend
process improvements to enhance productivity, installation quality, and
operational efficiency.
Preferred
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or
certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction
Management, or a related field.
- Previous
experience in supervising residential solar PV installations or construction
projects.
- Knowledge
of solar PV systems, electrical installations, and safety regulations.
- Strong
leadership and team coordination skills.
- Good
problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Valid
driving licence.
