Our client is a dominant force in the Southern African industrial landscape, serving as a critical partner for the region's infrastructure and development. As they pivot toward a data-driven future, their IT division is establishing a world-class Data Office to transform raw information into actionable business intelligence.
Performance Objectives for Year One

In the Adlerian model, success is defined by outcomes. Here is what you will achieve in your first 12 months:

1. Architectural Framework: Within the first 6 months, define and document the core enterprise data management framework, establishing standards for modelling, metadata, and master data that will govern 100% of new solution architectures.
2. Redundancy Strategy: Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing data sources to identify redundancies and reliability gaps; deliver and begin executing a roadmap to resolve these inefficiencies by the end of year one.
3. Data Quality & Security: Partner with technical and business stakeholders to design and implement a robust data quality resolution strategy and security control framework, ensuring data integrity across the entire solution ecosystem.
4. End-to-End Design: Lead the creation of logical and physical data models for all major new IT projects, ensuring that architectures are scalable and aligned with long-term business goals.
5. Advisory & Innovation: Serve as the technical authority on data for all RFIs, RFPs, and project proposals, while driving the adoption of emerging technologies like ML and event-based pipelines where they add clear business value.
