As a data integration specialist in Solwezi, you will collaborate closely with business units to identify opportunities and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities for Data Integration Specialist Jobs in Solwezi Business Analysis:
- Engage with stakeholders across operations and IT to identify challenges, gather and prioritize requirements, and map processes that translate operational needs into effective digital solutions.
Solution Design:
- Develop scalable, secure, and supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards while evaluating technology options to balance capability, cost, and long-term sustainability.
Data & Integrations:
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and integrations connecting business and operational technology systems, transforming data into trusted, well-governed assets.
AI Solutions:
- Apply generative AI and machine learning techniques to enhance productivity and operational performance, ensuring solutions adhere to responsible AI practices.
Software Engineering:
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain integration software using best practices in software engineering, DevOps, and modern delivery platforms.
- Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information systems is required; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- All qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in solution design and delivery, including roles such as implementation consultant, developer, or solution architect.
- Proven ability in business or systems analysis, with experience eliciting requirements, mapping processes, and translating operational needs into practical solutions.
- Experience in open-pit mining environments and familiarity with mining applications such as fleet management, process/smelter, safety, and data collection systems is a plus.
- Strong data engineering skills, including database management, SQL, system integration, and data governance.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and testing methodologies.
- Experience with Git, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, UX, and design-thinking methodologies.
- Commercial awareness, project planning capabilities, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder and vendor engagement.
- Membership in ICTAZ or EIZ is an advantage.
- Behavioural Attributes Strong understanding of mining operations with a product-focused mindset to address real business challenges.
- Ability to decompose complex problems through structured, systems-level thinking.
