Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect goods upon receipt and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage of merchandise in accordance with FIFO (First In, First Out) and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records through regular stock movements and system updates.
  • Prepare and issue stock to sales departments based on approved requisitions.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and assist during full inventory exercises.
  • Monitor stock levels and promptly report low-stock, overstock, or slow-moving items.
  • Ensure products are stored under appropriate conditions, particularly chilled, frozen, and perishable goods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom in compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
  • Ensure proper labelling, segregation, and rotation of stock.
  • Assist in minimizing stock losses due to damage, expiry, theft, or poor handling.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, receiving staff, and department managers regarding stock availability.
  • Prepare reports relating to stock variances, damages, expiries, and inventory movements.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • SC/HSC or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in inventory management is an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems.
  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physically fit to handle manual lifting and movement of goods.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Completion of stock counts within scheduled timelines.
