As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for
managing a small team and delivering high-quality accounting services to
clients. The role focuses on weekly bookkeeping review, monthly management
accounts preparation, team supervision, and client/auditor liaison, while
ensuring deadlines and service standards are consistently met. You will be the
person responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all
client deliverables. You will also play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day
operations of the team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining strong
client relationships
We are looking for someone ACCA qualified, with excellent communication skills and prior experience managing a team.
Accounting / Client
Tasks;
- Develop
and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business
practices and reporting requirements
- Act
as the main point of contact for clients on day-to-day accounting matters
- Manage
team workflow, including resourcing and delegation of work, to ensure timely
delivery of all client deliverables
- Prepare
and/or perform final review of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Review
financial statements in accordance with IFRS, FRS 102, or applicable standards
- Assist
with budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis
Management
Tasks
- Manage
a team of 3 staff members, including overall supervision, task allocation, and
workload planning
- Conduct
weekly team meetings to agree on priorities, allocate tasks, set deadlines, and
provide updates to the Office Manager and Directors
- Monitor
progress against deadlines and ensure timely completion of all deliverables
- Review
team output to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Provide
ongoing support, guidance, training, and regular feedback to team members
